Kron was built to solve the problem of calendar sprawl, helping you create and group calendars together to make sharing with family and friends easy. Just add a calendar and a subscription URL, and Kron takes care of the rest, keeping your events up to date so you don't have to.
| Calendar Name | The primary title of your calendar. This is the name visible in Google Calendar and sharing invites. |
| Description | An optional note about the calendar's purpose. Shown to viewers and included in welcome emails when you share the calendar. |
| Timezone | The geographic region used to calculate event times. Important for ensuring imported events appear at the correct hour. |
| Subscribe to External Calendar URLs | A list of public iCal (.ics) URLs. Kron reads these feeds and mirrors their events into your Google Calendar immediately and automatically. |
| Shareable Calendar Link | A unique, read-only ICS URL for this calendar. Use it for Apple Calendar or any app that only accepts a subscribe link. It is a generic export — available, but not recommended for Skylight. Share the Google calendar instead. |
| Sharing Roles | • Reader: Can see full event details but not edit them. Use this for a Skylight Family Account for one-way (Kron → display). • Free/Busy Reader: Can only see whether time slots are busy, not event details. • Writer: Can add, edit, and delete events. Use this for a Skylight Family Account when edits on the display should write back. • Owner: Full control, including management of sharing. |
